Description:
The Toe River Arts Council hosts the Toe River Studio Tour in the scenic mountain communities for Mitchell and Yancey counties.

This spring's self-guided Studio Tour takes place June 11 to 13.

Dates and times are:

Friday, June 11, 12 - 4
Saturday, June 12, 10 - 6
Sunday, June 13, 10 - 6

This year's tour features 103 participants with 9 galleries who will be open from noon to 4 pm on Friday, June 11; and then 10 am to 6 pm Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13. A special tour reception takes place on Friday, June 11 from 5 to 8 pm at the Spruce Pine TRAC Gallery.

The exhibit of participants’ work opens May 8 at the Spruce Pine TRAC Gallery and continues through the Tour weekend. The Burnsville Gallery will feature an exhibit by Artistree from June 9 through June 26 that displays artists’ work in a home setting. Both galleries are open regular hours and extended hours for the Tour weekend.

A map guide can be online or picked up at any of the participating studios and galleries, local businesses, or at one of the two TRAC Galleries at 102 West Main in Burnsville or 269 Oak Avenue in Spruce Pine. Both are regularly open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 to 5 pm.

[10:00am-5:00pm] AVL Art in the Park - Pack Square
Description:
Art in the Park, Pack Square, Downtown Asheville

Saturdays, June 12, 19 and 26
10 am to 5 pm

The creative spirits are setting up tents in downtown Asheville this June. For three Saturdays local and regional artists will infuse Pack Square Park with art and craft as vibrant and of the earth as Nature’s glowing autumn leaves.

The streets around the Vance Monument and Hoss Haley’s marvelous new fountain will resonate with the colors, textures and forms of contemporary and traditional mountain crafts exhibited by the artists themselves.

From pottery to jewelry to sculpture and two-dimensional art, the market promises an array of creations from the planet’s very marrow, including glass, ceramics, woodworking, metalsmithing, and the fabric arts.

Come on out to Asheville Art in the Park to connect with these artists and many more. You will not only be participating in an art market, but you will be part of a cycle of giving. 10% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to a local art non-profit.
