As extra money continues to disappear from our pockets, our homes still need to be kept in good condition. Neglecting the minor repairs will only lead to more expense and lessen our homes’ value in the future.

The remaining dates for the course are: July 15th, July 20th, July 22nd, and July 27th.

Some of the topics to be covered are: saving on your heating and cooling bills, basic plumbing repairs, interior and exterior maintenance, landscaping and lawn care, indoor air quality, common household pests, etc.

[6:30pm] WNC Chefs Challenge Weekly Battle
Description:
WNC Chefs Challenge

Join us for a battle between 14 of the area's top chefs!

The weekly heats for the WNC Chefs Challenge take place every Tuesday, starting May 18. Fourteen chefs will pair off in head-to-head competitions at The Flying Frog Café. Each chef will have access to the same pantry, but will be given a secret ingredient the day of the event that must be featured in their culinary creations.

You decide the winner using the same guidelines as a professional food critic! Attendees will enjoy three fantastic creations from each chef, though they won't know which chef has created each dish.

Then the audience will score the dishes to determine who advances to the final competition. Tickets to these culinary events are only $39 per guest (not including drinks, tax, and gratuity).

When only two chefs remain, they will battle it out on Saturday, August 14, in an Iron Chef-style competition during the WNC Magazine Asheville Wine & Food Festival Grand Tasting held at the Expo Center on the WNC Agricultural Grounds Campus near the Asheville Regional Airport.
