  Adventure in Intimacy
Description:
Taste the sweetness of reconnecting with your partner by attending the Adventure in Intimacy workshop led by internationally renowned relationship experts Hedy and Yumi Schleifer. This workshop will teach you the essential skills that will allow you and your partner to reboot your relationship, reconnect with each other more deeply than you ever thought possible, and rediscover the joy of being together. Couples are able to participate privately in their relationship rediscovery as opposed to just passively absorbing lecture materials. Learn how to turn blame into cooperation, renew the passion and pleasure, and transform frustration into gifts that benefit your relationship!

The agenda includes optional meditation (instruction available) and group writing to prompts. Come with an open mind and empty notebook and leave with an open heart and a notebook of inspiration.

Cultural Heritage Comes Alive at The N.C. Arboretum During the Asheville Quilt Guild’s Annual Show!

Western North Carolina’s rich ultural heritage comes to life on August 6, 7 and 8 at The North Carolina Arboretum as it hosts the Asheville Quilt Guild’s 28th Annual Show.

The popular show is a judged event featuring more than 250 quilts of exceptional craftsmanship from across the U.S. and worldwide. The three-day show offers live demonstrations, a vendor’s mall and more! This year’s theme is “Stars Over the Mountains.”

The show runs Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Entrance to the Quilt Show requires an $8 per personal vehicle parking fee to The North Carolina Arboretum and $5 admission fee for the Quilt Show.

Visitors to The NC Arboretum during the Quilt Show will also be able to explore engaging indoor and outdoor exhibits, including:

*Balance and Beauty: A Visual Celebration of Rural Life, featuring paintings by Margaret Scanlan at the Baker Exhibit Center

*Inflorescence, a new outdoor sculpture exhibit throughout the Arboretum’s gardens by Jason S. Brown and Elizabeth Scofield that features a variety of botanical forms created from synthetic nylon fabric

Visitors are encouraged to explore the Arboretum’s 65 acres of cultivated gardens, 10 miles of hiking and biking trails, engaging exhibits, and bountiful opportunities to connect with nature.
