The Asheville Symphony Orchestra performs and promotes symphonic music for the benefit, enjoyment and education of the people of Western North Carolina. The Asheville Symphony was established in 1960. At that time, all musicians performed on a volunteer basis and the Symphony was without a resident conductor or manager.
My vision started many years ago and came to fruition when my partner, Andrew, bought his farm, Ashe’ Spring. We live together on the farm and are in the process of creating a homesteading environment.
Ashe` Spring will soon become one of the main sources of fruit for Pick & Preserve. Until then, I am excited to work with local farms and the abundance of resources we have in the area. My goal is to work closely with, and get to know, each person and family who grow the beautiful produce we use. I also want to recognize and show appreciation for those who support our vision. We feel that these concepts are what will set us apart from the rest.
Pick & Preserve is not only about supporting the farm to table idea, but it’s also about the journey to know and share the process. Pick & Preserve is preserving a tradition of farming, canning, friendship, and partnership. We strive to keep our product small in batch, locally sourced, and use the best practices with the best ingredients. Check out our friends page to see all of the people involved, and our ingredients page to see our vision. Visit our Website for more information: Pick and Preserve on the web

Welcome to one of the treasures of Western North Carolina. The Haywood Arts Regional Theatre, founded in 1985, is a volunteer-based community theatre showcasing the talents of the people of the region. HART, under the leadership of Executive Director Steven Lloyd, has grown into one of the most active theatres in the Southeast, producing a year-round schedule of plays and musicals from its home, The Performing Arts Center at the Shelton House. Opened in 1997, and funded by the support of people throughout the community, HART’s home is a stunning facility constructed in the style of the traditional Summer Stock playhouses of the 1920’s. Architect Joe Sam Queen and builder Pat Burgin used native materials to create a facility that is both grand and informal. Click here for seasonal shows Haywood Arts Regional Theater
MAGNETIC THEATRE is a not-for-profit production company that gives original works and the people who make them a home to share with enthusiastic audiences. We are proud to be the only professional theatre in the southeast (that we know of) dedicated to world premieres, and one of the few in the country.
