Postdoctoral Fellowship in Economics – Institute for Women’s Policy Research
IWPR conducts and communicates research to inspire public dialogue, shape policy, and improve the lives and opportunities of women of diverse backgrounds, circumstances, and experiences. This one year, full-time fellowship, renewable for an additional year (24 months total), provides the opportunity to contribute to IWPR research projects that inform policies affecting women and their families. The fellow will work in IWPR’s Washington, DC, office with an experienced, multi-disciplinary team of Ph.D.-level researchers and research associates on a variety of topics related to employment, education, income security, work and family, and health and safety and contribute to IWPR’s growing body of research on issues important to women and girls of color. Work includes literature review; research design; data analysis; drafting reports, proposals, and shorter products; communicating research findings to the public, the press, and other users; meeting with research users and research partners; and so on.

Candidates must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. in economics by September 1, 2017, or have received the Ph.D. in economics after January 1, 2014. Applicants must either be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident or already have a valid work permit for the duration of the fellowship.
