Welcome Sheville Advertisers and Potential Advertisers!

First, our free service: Sheville.org has a Community Calendar that is interactive, for everyone and easy to use at no charge, although only paid advertisers with Sheville can post their web address. You can post events for yourself and your group. Event types we are especially looking for have to do with Women, WNC, the Arts and the Environment. Please join us and post your events!

Posting Instructions:
1. Go to the Community Calendar
2. Click on "Add New Event Submission Form" at the top right.
3. Fill in all the blanks for your event (don't forget 'category'). You can 'cut and paste' from email or Word documents .
4. Sheville Advertisers add their direct website link. See below for info about becoming an advertiser.
5. Click 'Save'. Your information goes to Sheville administration for quality control purposes

Sheville.org is a Web Magazine for Western North Carolina. You can link your banner to a web site, your Sheville Mall store, or to a questionnaire. Have a special event coming up? Temporarily change your link and/or your graphic to highlight that event. Note: this fee does not include banner design.

• Can be paid semi-annually for $300 twice a year. Credit card required for multiple payments

• $25.00 per month (if paid annually) includes your company name, a sentence about your business and a link to your website. Sidebar ads move randomly among the pages
• Includes free press releases (non-advertisers pay $25 per release)
• Can be paid in 2 payments of $150 each over 6 months, Credit card required for multiple payments.

Sidebar ads include reporting of number of views and click-through rates. You can specify how frequently you would like reports e-mailed to you. Note: the click-through rates for sidebar ads are typically somewhat less than for banner ads.

Real Estate Directory Ads

Whether you are an agent, broker, or individual, if you have one or more properties to sell, we have the venue for you!

You've got your website: now how do people find it? Take advantage of Sheville's 280,000 hits/month to find potential buyers! Link to the property website you already have (or that we can create for you) and enjoy one of the most affordable advertising rates in town!

Rates:

• Premium banner advertisers: free
• Regular banner advertisers: $10 per listing
• Business directory advertisers: $25 per listing
• One-time advertisers: $50 per listing

The fine print: your ad is good for one year, or until you sell the property, whichever is shorter. Current Sheville advterisers can renew their listing without charge. Note: the discounted rates for advertisers apply on a per-agent or per advertiser basis. In other words, each agent can only list her or his listings at the discounted rate.

These discounts are not limited to real estate agents: our other advertisers are welcome to list their own properties, whether properties being listed by an agent, or by FSBO.

Enhancing Your Web Presence

• Create a Professional Web Page internal to Sheville.org that gives you a full page or two of pictures and information about your business. You send us the copy as you would like it included.
  • Individual pricing is according to number of pictures you want used on your web page: 3 for $125.00, 4 or 5 for $200.00, 6 or 7 for $275.00.
• We can help you to set up your own domain and web hosting. Contact us about rates.

Web Commerce on the Sheville Mall

That's right! Affordable web commerce! Web commerce involves two important pieces: setting up your site, and then finding customers to buy from you. Let Sheville help you with both: join our existing web commerce site, and let Sheville's traffic bring you traffic!

We have two kinds of stores: regular stores and kiosks. We also have an option for single-items.

Kiosks are:

• For 10 items or less
• Have only one format choice
• Cost $50 in set-up fees
• Cost $15/month maintenance

Regular stores are:

• unlimited items
• Have multiple format choices
• Cost $100 in set-up fees
• Cost $30/month maintenance

Too small even for a kiosk? Don't despair! If you have a single item, such as a book, that you would like to list on Sheville, we can set you up with an Announcement Only presence on the Mall for $30 per year. This listing is in the form of a press release that will then link to you web site.

All of our annual ads can be paid for monthly with a credit card: your monthly payment will be 10% of the annual rate.

Phone consultation beyond what is included in your ad price is welcomed and is billed at $10.00 per quarter hour.

How to Submit Your Ad Artwork

We will design your ad using your existing digital pictures, logo or art work:

• Banner Ad - 468 wide x 90 pixels high at 72 dpi resolution sent in .gif format.
• We are happy to take the digital pictures for your advertising. Please add $50.00 to $150.00 for this service depending on time and business location.

Payment Information

For Business Directory Ads and Sidebar Ads , half of the total amount ($90.00) is due prior to publication. For renewals, payment is within 30 days of invoicing. If you wish to arrange payment terms, we will require a credit card for automatic billing.

For Banner Ads , payment for the first three months is due prior to publication. A $75.00 set-up fee will be charged for ads purchased for less than a half year.

Here's the process:

1. We will email an invoice to you describing your ad and the amount due, including any extra consultation or photography fees.
2. You reply by email that the ad is correct and send us your credit card information in two separate emails in order to pay with a MasterCard, VISA or American Express.
3. Or you can call in the credit card information to 828.215.2915.
4. Or, we accept personal checks mailed to SHEVILLE.ORG, PO Box 2835 Asheville , NC 28802.

Ad posting occurs 7 – 10 days after payment is received.

THE FINE PRINT: Sheville.org reserves the right to reject any advertisement, in whole or in part, and reserves the right to print the word “advertisement” on any ad that resembles editorial copy. Advertisements are published with the understanding that the advertiser and/or agency is authorized to publish the submitted material. The advertiser and/or agency agrees to indemnify and hold Sheville.org from and against any loss or expenses resulting from any disputes of legal claims based upon the contents or subject matter of such advertisements, including claims or suits for defamation, libel, violation of privacy, plagiarism, and copyright infringement.
