Tracey Schmidt returns to White Horse Black Mountain, one of her favorite local venues, to perform by memory the work of Rumi, Hafiz, Mary Oliver, and her own work. The performance is Sunday June 30th, 7:30. Tickets are 12.00 in advance and 15.00 at the door.

One hundred years ago, folk song collector Cecil Sharp made an arduous journey from England to the southern Appalachians in search of a musical holy grail. Sharp was seeking what he believed were the oldest, purest forms of British Isles balladry in oral tradition.
Bring a lawn chair, your Sacred Sound instrument and a smile to the Drum Circle at the UR dome in Black Mountain, NC. We start our circles at 6:30 p.m. in the green space between the dome and the labyrinth. The 4th Saturday of each month, from April through September, we’ll gather to share traditional Lakota songs, generate creative beats, and send love, light, healing and gratitude to our beautiful Earth Mother. The Florence Thomas Art School will host the 7th Annual Corey Anne Celebration of Women in the Arts beginning in August, 2019.
