Women’s Media Center Live with Robin Morgan

Women’s Media Center Live (WMC Live) is a progressive-and-then-some talk radio hour that launched in August 2012 and is hosted by author and political activist Robin Morgan.

The “Women’s Media Center Live with Robin Morgan” announces its new syndication partnership with AirPlay Direct, which is now distributing the weekly radio show to over 9,000 broadcasters and radio members around the world.

The program, with a national and international audience in 110 countries, is hosted by Robin Morgan, award-winning author and, in 2005, co-founder — with Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem — of The Women’s Media Center.

Enjoying exponential ratings growth since its birth only two years ago, “WMC Live with Robin Morgan” — which is also available online on iTunes and at– — has been praised by The Huffington Post as “talk radio with a brain.”

Julie Burton, President of The Women’s Media Center, said, ”We are so proud of this quality radio program, its remarkable growth, and now this new leap forward in its listenership!”

WMC Live with Robin Morgan tackles today’s hottest topics — covering sex, politics, art, humor, religion, culture, and news stories that go unreported — and is known for its world-class guests.

Listen to Morgan’s famous, fiery, often hilarious commentaries in the segments Behind the Headlines, Verbal Karate, News You Can Use, The Surrealism Corner, and Fighting Words.

She has appeared on “MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports” and “Jansing & Co.,” “The Charlie Rose Show,” “NBC News,” “C-SPAN,” “Good Morning America,” “The Today Show,” “CBS This Morning,” “The Tonight Show,” “Larry King Live” and numerous other programs around the world.

The Women’s Media Center works to make women and girls visible and powerful in the media through strategic programs that transform the media landscape, and that include media training, media monitoring and activism, media reports, media programs, an expert database and special initiatives. The Women’s Media Center also publishes Women’s Media Center Features that provide progressive women’s perspectives on both headline stories and timely events.

SheVille Team

We are a one-of-a-kind magazine that provides local, regional, national and international information about women’s lives and education, performing and visual arts and writing, the environment, green living and sustainability and regional Western North Carolina business, people and events. “Villages preserve culture: dress, food and dance are a few examples. As villages grow in population and turn into towns, local cafes make way for large American chains. Handmade leather sandals are discarded for a pair of Western sneakers. Due to its small size, a village fosters a tight-knit sense of community. explains the meaning of the African proverb, “It takes a village,” by stating that a sense of community is critical to maintaining a healthy society. Village members hold a wealth of information regarding their heritage: they know about the ancient traditions, methods of production and the resources of the land. When villages become dispersed or exterminated in times of war, this anthropological knowledge disappears. Large cities are not as conducive to growing and producing foods such as fruits and vegetables. Villages, on the other hand, usually have ample amounts of land and other resources necessary for growing conditions.” The Importance of Villages by Catherine Capozzi Our Mission provides readers with information important to women’s lives and well-being. We focus primarily on the areas of education & health, business & finance, the arts & the environment. We are particularly interested in local & regional resources, organizations & events.
